Where we exhibited and sold the following products.

1) "Brass Art"

Made by the Malar community by hand, No molds are used in making them. Which means only one piece of art work is created at once and you take home one of its kind.

The Malar community is associated with Project Batauli as we are working on the conservation of the artform .

2)"Chin ki chatai"

(Carpets, Yoga mats, Runners, Asan )

Handmade out of the wild grass called chin found in the jungles of Chhattisgarh by the Tribal ladies/ women (Didi) associated by the self help group Of Project Batauli (PB).There was a workshop to demonstrate the making of Carpets , During the event by the Didi's from the village .

3) "Natural Jaggery" / Gud

Made by following the traditional techniques and methods of making Jaggery.

All the Jaggery that was available for sale which was liked and purchased by many who visited us at The Local farmer's market was made in Batauli itself.

The Jaggery was packed using Dona (leaf bowls) so that we can avoid single use plastic as much as possible.

4)"Khatya" Village Cott.

A workshop was conducted to showcase how a Khatya is made and visitors enjoyed watching the process and also tried their hand at making one .

Khatiyas are a new addition to the products list of PB that are available for you to purchase for your space.

5) PB consists of volunteers who are artists who had created space on the floor for conducting an alpona workshop where the visitors were encouraged to create alpona designs using white clay that is traditionally used in villages to decorate homes.

6) face painting was one of the fun attractions at the event, Where a lot of visitors participated in getting their face painted by the volunteers of PB , What was amazing is that the material used to paint faces was natural clay also known as multani mitti.

7)"Dona /Pattal" (Leaf Bowl / Leaf plate )

Visitors took part in learning to make Dona/ Pattal at the workshop conducted by the Didi's who had come all the way from Batauli to Raipur to demonstrate and teach making Dona and Chin ki chatayi.

It was an experience that boosted their confidence as it was for the first time that had traveled to showcase their skill and talent on such a big platform.

Nine energetic volunteers of project batauli who are the residents of Raipur put in their best efforts to showcase the products and worked towards spreading awareness about the activities that happen within Project Batauli @ The Local farmers market in Raipur.
