Bamboo art revival

Bamboo has been one of the most used material in Batauli village since always, be it making homes or making baskets, villagers have been using it very nicely.

if we talk about sustainability then using bamboo is one of the best material because it grows very fast and villagers can easily find it around but usage of plastic has became a big problem.

people who use to buy bamboo baskets are now buying plastic baskets, it is not just affecting the environment in a bad way but also creating problem in the livelihood of these villagers and because of the same now most of the villagers are facing difficulty to earn their living from their traditional bamboo art and now shifting towards cities to find job or doing labour work.

we made an attempt to revive the Bamboo Culture in Turiya community which is specialised in bamboo art.
